Seasonal Flu Impacting Schools

School districts throughout Kansas and the Four-State Area continue to deal with flu-like illnesses that are causing students to miss school.

The symptoms of seasonal flu include:

Fever greater than 100 degrees

Body aches

Coughing

Sore throat

Respiratory congestion

In some cases, diarrhea and vomiting

Individuals who experience the above symptoms should contact their physician, who will determine whether testing or treatment is needed.

For more information you can visit Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or The Kansas Department of Health and Enviroment.
