RHS StuCo Assists Those in Need

January 08, 2008

Members of RHS StuCo recently volunteered at the Salvation Army’s food service program for area homeless.  They helped deliver sack lunches to homeless people living in several outdoor locations.  Upon return to the Salvation Army, a free lunch was offered to anyone in need.  StuCo students passed out warm drinks and assisted Salvation Army staff.  During the visit, some StuCo students made an impromptu visit to an area store to purchase gloves, thermal socks, and handwarmers to give to anyone in need.  A holiday card also accompanied the gift.  Students involved were: Nathan Spriggs, Coltyn Seifert, Presley Goff, Ambur Simmons, Jenna Montee, Kotye Mallatt, Amelia Mallatt, and Amanda Jenkins.  Adults were:  Casey Hudson (StuCo Sponsor), Tawni Montee, Carol Spriggs, Leslie Seifert, and Amy Simmons.
