The school board consists of seven members, elected in districts to serve specific terms. The superintendent is selected by the board and serves as the chief executive officer of the school system. While the board is responsible for setting policy, the superintendent and his administrative team manage the daily operations of the school district.
Regular board meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Board of Education office located at 6860 SE Hwy 66. Requests to appear before the board can be made by completing form BCBI-R Form and returned to the Board of Education Office at least 3 business days prior to the board meeting.
